![]() ![]() Always save your shields for the boss fight, and the only time you should use them is to get through the wall of purple bullets from the two cannons after the two spiders with missiles part.ġst Phase Shoot down the two turrets ASAP. Staying untouched was the only hard part. Just yesterday, I got all the medals for level 13. 18 medals to go on that one then maybe come back with new tips or new questions. The B levels I haven't really focused on yet until I unlock B3. Although I have no ideas for the final boss honestly I just can't find a rythmn or a method for the last two parts of the boss fight, that red orb just throws everything in me off guard :(. I'm not sure what other tips I have to bring to this, anything I else I feel would be obvious to a player who has reached nightmare. Most the game has this rythmn to be found. Even on nightmare it's a matter of hopping through the firing process of the missiles. Look for rythmn in the levels and bosses, a lot of the time there is a general rythmn to get in to, the easiest example of this is all of level 5 or my favourite, level 7, with the many waves of attack missile helicopters that come flying towards you. The slower the strafe, the less effort is put in tracking, I find this useful for dodging other things. Missiles and beam lasers home more if you are moving/strafing quickly. Nukes can be just as useful as the lucky shield if used at the right time. Nukes are very useful panic buttons when there are no shields or you'd rather save a shield for later on. Give as much time as possible to destroy the high priority enemies to keep a clear path to be untouched. Make sure the easy stuff is quickly destroyed before a horrible part comes up in a level. If any spider tanks are present next to those burst fire guns then always try to take the gun out first, it makes life much more easier to destroy the spider tank without lines of bullets spraying everywhere. Generally sharp eyes and careful quick reactions with plenty of power ups are usually the best way. ![]() Sometimes there are spaces to the side which avoid all contact with bullet fire momentarily and give a nice break to keep untouched. Learn the level, which parts are the tricky parts to remember. The missile launchers shouldn't be a problem.Ī lot of the levels and bosses before level 11, in my opinion are relatively straightforwards. Once the main cannon gets replaced, use up any remaining shields, use the laser and make sure to nuke those front turrets and the main gun. If you remain untouched after the 2nd part then the worse is over. But I'd say it's just sheer luck if it happens because the shield will insta-smash while taking the narrow blow. Sometimes it's easy to be caught out when flying up the sides, if that happens then I have been lucky 50% of the time to hit a shield, try to quickly react and fly over the top of the tank. Never lose rythmn!! I find sweeping one side to another having the main cannon shoot 2 or 3 times before going back the other way. its a game of avoiding the rockets or timing the shield to prevent being touched. Once that cannon starts shooting, I find that it's much more easier to only watch the bottom half of the screen, focus mostly on the ship and hardly ever at the main cannon, any incoming rockets will be seen at the last moment. Also only try to use just shields for this part. The 2nd part I just find it unreal.but my method was to go straight to the front turret furthest right and get through them 4 before the main cannon fires. took a lot in me to get, after trial and error I realised shields are only really needed for the 2nd part of the boss fight, it's easy enough to use the overcharge with the Octopus to chew through the first part of the fight, the cannons shoot in bursts of 4 then pause so then it's ideal to really get in to do damage. My tips presuming all ships unlocked, all cards, all upgrades, at least 6/8 technicians and a decent supply of resources. I do have some tips but I'm really struggling with Level 13 boss even on hard, I just can't get my head around that red orb weapon that comes off from the center of the boss and flies around the second time. It's a darn headache trying to get these on the later boss levels. ![]()
